I’m halfway through this book and I just picked it up from the library at lunchtime today :) What an inspiring story and inspiring life led to bring glory to Jesus.

If you don’t know anything about Katie Davis, know this: God placed a calling on her life and as a senior in high school, she said “yes” to God and whatever He had planned for her. His plan took her to Uganda, where she lives and has adopted 14 orphaned girls, runs a school and provides meals, clothing, medical care and unrestricted love for hundreds more each day. All she did was say “yes” to God. She literally gave Him her life, just as He gave His for her…for all of us. And now she is living out God’s plan for her and making her a mommy to the motherless.

Each of us in our comfy, cozy homes could take a lesson from Katie. Not that each of us should abandon our current lives for third world countries…but that we should earnestly seek out the calling, the anointing, that God has placed within each of us. It doesn’t matter how we will make certain things happen. God will make ALL things happen. He will provide.
He will sustain.
He will love us unconditionally.

And all we have to do is say “yes.”
